The Charity Commission have been criticised again over the way they handled safeguarding concerns at Oxfam.

Sir Stephen Bubb, former chief executive of the charity chief executives’ body ACEVO, has added his criticism of the Commission's handling of the Oxfam issue voice to that of Kate Osamor MP.

Sir Stephen described the Charity Commission’s failure to ask for more details from Oxfam, following the charity’s report to them in 2011, as "pretty shocking." He also said about the Commission:

“It's not a post box – it's a regulator.“
