Feeding Frenzy begins

The unfolding revelation about Oxfam is a story with legs.
We watch now, with interest, the inevitable feeding frenzy – the likely effect of which will be the massively reduced funding budget the charity will get from the UK government and the EU.
This result will stem directly from actions by rogue ex-employees and perhaps ineffectual managers, both at Oxfam and at the Charity Commission.
The casualties, as ever, will be the poorest people in our world – the beneficiaries.
If the Charity Commission had acted earlier, at least at the point when Helen Evans [Oxfam’s then Head of Global Safeguarding] blew the whistle in 2015, this would not be happening now!
